  • Pioneers in staging experimental plays, like En Solitaire, Reader's Theatre, Sruti O Smriti, Willy6-Willy6, Hours 144 and Exile and Kingdom in auditoriums and studios alike, since inception.

  • Winning awards at Kali Bari One-Act Drama Competitions for 5 consecutive years since 2000.

  • Performed Dakshinapath in NSD's prestigious International Drama Festival (5th Bharat Rang Mahotsav) in 2003. Since 2002, the group has been performing at NSD's Weekend Theatre.

  • Invited at Legends of India in 2005 to perform Atmadaho.

  • Hosting shows at Kolkata since 2003-2007 & 2017. Also invited by theatre groups like Sanglaap, Aneek and festivals like International Ganga-Jamuna Theatre Festival, Minerva Theatre Festival in Kolkata.

  • Mega-productions, Devanampiya, Zawal-e-Azim and Anavritt awarded titles “Utkrisht Natak” (Best Play) by Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi Govt. and performed at the esteemed Bharatendu Natya Utsav in 2007, 2009, and 2012.

  • Zawal-e-Azim performed at the Delhi International Arts Festival 2009, under Sangeet Natak Akademi Theatre Festival.

  • Felicitated eminent theatre critics and practitioners, Sh. Diwan Singh Bajeli, Sh. Prithviraj Roy, Smt. Santwana Nigam and Dr. Vikram Chopra, for their commendable contributions to their respective fields.

  • Sh. Torit Mitra awarded as one of the best directors in Delhi and play Garbh performed at Bharatendu Natya Utsav, 2011.

  • Organized ELEGANCE OF IBSEN, a festival of Plays, Seminar and Exhibition, in collaboration with The Royal Norwegian Embassy in 2006 to commemorate the death centennial year of Sir Henrik Ibsen. Records of the festival and plays placed in the archival database of www.ibsen.net, and Centre for Ibsen Studies, Oslo.

  • Records regarding our profile, activities and performances placed in the archives of the esteemed Natarang Pratishthan, New Delhi.

  • Performed at National Seminar on Tagore at the invitation by Sahitya Akademi (Delhi) and Central University of Rajasthan (Kishangarh) in 2011.

  • In 2013, the group organized PANCHAM VEDIC, including a two-day bi-lingual seminar and a festival of plays for four-days showcasing our play Anavritt and renowned groups and directors - Green Room Theatre (Anjan Kanjilal), Rang Bhoomi (J. P. Singh) and Sada Arts Society (Dr. Danish Iqbal).

  • Have placed our name in several theatre reviews, journals, magazines and publications, including those of Dr. Vikram Chopra and Dr. Utpal K. Banerjee.

  • Have published books, 'Home & the World' and 'Hari-Bhari Khwahish Tatha Anya Natak', and our annual newsletter 'Yavanpat'. The publication 'Home and the World' sponsored by Ministry of Culture was launched by former Hon'ble President of ICCR, Dr. Karan Singh.

  • Under tutelage of Guru, Torit Mitra, his plays Vasansi Jirnani, Hari-Bhari Khwahish, Na Hanyate, Macbeth-Macbeth, Garbh, Dirghayama, was designed and directed by his disciple, Sh. Anjon Bose, garnering several critical appraisals.

  • Na Hanyate invited by IPTA to be performed at JNU in 2015. Performed Trial of Blood at JNU's Theatre Fest 'Rang Bayaar' in 2017.

  • Regular participation in World Theatre Day celebrations by Bengal Association since 2014 and Yuva Utsav since 2016. Also participated in event by Navapalli Natya Sanstha, 2019.

  • The group participated in 'A Memoir of the Legend of Dr. Shishir Das' organized by Ek Ebong Dosh in 2015 at DCMS premises. Dr. Shishir Das's famous composition 'Dui Bondini' was read by Sh. Torit Mitra and Smt. Ruma Bose and stagecraft was done by Sh. Anjon Bose.

  • Activist and disciple of Sh. Torit Mitra, Smt. Sreemoyee Dasgupta Bose, was invited to participate in debate organized by Shapno Ekhon entitled 'Opinion / Abhimat / Motamot' in 2015.

  • Mritashaucha performed in Green Room Theatre's International Bengali Theatre Festival 2016 along with groups from Kolkata and Bangladesh. Sh. Torit Mitra and Sh. Anjon Bose were invited as speakers in Seminars during the festival.

  • Have pioneered in unique promotion of theatre by setting up theatre stall in Bangiya Samaj Paush Mela and actively participated in theatre stall at the 15th Book Fair organized by Bengal Association in 2015 & 2016. 'Jatok Honon' was read by Smt. Ruma Bose, 'Pathure Shoinik' by Sh. Torit Mitra at the 15th Book Fair.

  • Antar Sambandh, conceptualized and directed by Ruma Bose, was performed at India Habitat Centre on World's Peace Day organized by Kriti in 2016.

  • Under the tutelage of Guru, Torit Mitra, his play 7 Raison d'être / 7 Reasons of Being was performed in 2016 featuring debut director Sreemoyee Dasgupta, gathering several critical applause.

  • Macbeth-Macbeth performed at Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Mumbai, in 2017.

  • Mritashaucha performed at the 3rd National Theatre Festival by Minerva Natyasanskriti Charchakendra, Kolkata in 2017. 

  • Hosted Dirghayama festival under self-created art movement 'THEATRE OF THE DARK' at Kala Kunj Auditorium (Kolkata) in 2017. The Guest of Honours were Sh. Pabitra Sarkar, Smt. Urmimala Basu, Sh. Niranjan Goswami, and Sh. Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee.

  • Have exhibited paintings by school and college students since 2014.

  • Have been hosting 'On-the-Spot Painting Competitions' for school children during Durga Puja, 2016-2018 and award winning paintings exhibited during shows.

  • The group was invited in 'Spin-a-Tale' organized by Sahitya Akademi, a story telling event for children, at Rabindra Bhawan, 2017.

  • An interactive workshop was organized by the group Acting out Loud: Voice meets Text in the studio in 2017, the resource person being Mr. Simon Money (with UCA, Farnham, UK, lecturer & Voice Coach, Voice Coach at the Royal Shakespeare Society, London).

  • Invited to Bangladesh to perform 'Dirghayama' at the Chaturmatrik Smarak Natya Utsav at the Shilpakala Academy, Chittagong. Sh. Torit Mitra was felicitated by the Parishad and he and Sh. Anjon Bose shared their viewpoints about India's and Delhi's Theatre Practices in a talk show. Rabindra Academy felicitated Sh. Torit Mitra and the group performed 'Dhirghayama' and 'Reading Theatre: Anirbochonio Robi' at the Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka. The travel was sponsored by ICCR.

  • Declaration of ‘THEATRE OF THE DARK’, Sansaptak’s contemporary artistic and aesthetic movement, 2016-17.

  • The group has been the theatre partner of Betla Mahotsav 2018-2021 organized by Chase Art Foundation and Walkrs in Palamu, Daltongunj and Betla National Park, Jharkhand.

  • The group celebrated World Theatre Day, commemorating Sh. Subimal Banerjee's birth centenary with theatre walk and street theatre performances in the vicinity of Chittaranjan Park in March 2018.  The walk was joined in by several theatre activists around the vicinity.

  • Street play 'Satyamev Jayate' performed in Tagore International School, Delhi, in front students and teachers including Le College Maria Casares, Lyon, France, 2018.

  • Organized Theatre & Painting Workshops for Bal Ashram, a rehabilitation and training centre for victims of child labour in Virat Nagar, Rajasthan, 2018.

  • Performed ‘Anirbochonio Robi’ in conjunction with National Gallery of Modern Art (Ministry of Culture, GOI) Exhibition ‘Gurudev: Journey of the Maestro’ at NGMA Auditorium, 2018. Also participated in Art Adda organized by NGMA discussing subjects ‘Museum & Theatre’, 2018 and Gandhian Philosophy in Art, 2019.

  • Organized a five-day Art and Cultural event in 2018 titled ‘Vasundhara: Celebrating Womanhood’. The event had On-the-Spot Painting Competition, Prabhat Pheri, Street Play, Theatre Adda, Theatre Talk Show, Book Launch of Vasundhara: An Anthology of Essays and Artworks by Women Authors and Artists, Agon Dialogues, Dance and Musical Cultural Programs, Solo Play performances ‘Shobdo O Svastika’ and launch of Vasundhara Anthem. Hon’ble Sh. Adwaita Gadanayak (Director-General, NGMA, MOC, GOI) and Hon’ble Dr. Sachidanand Joshi (Member Secretary, IGNCA, MOC, GOI) graced two days as the Chief Guests. Smt. Ritu Sharma (Director, NGMA, MOC, GOI), Dr. Nirmal Kanti Bhattacharya (Former Director NBT, Editorial Director Niyogi Books), Dr. Minoti Chatterjee (Former Principal, Kamala Nehru College, DU), Smt. Meeta Mishra (Theatre Director, Faculty at NSD), Sayed Hasmat Jalal (renowned poet and Art Critic) also graced the event. The Group also felicitated Smt. Arpana Caur (Contemporary Artist), Smt. Bulbul Mahalanobish (General Secretary, Rabindra Academy, Dhaka), Smt. Rashmi Vajpeyi (Scholar, Director Natarang Pratishthan), Prof. Tripurari Sharma (Former Acting Director and Faculty NSD, SNA Awardee) and Smt. Ratnattama Sengupta (Senior Journalist and Art Critic). Several institutions like Bridge Music Academy, Indian Photography Academy and Yarn_Vinkers also tagged along with the event.  

  • Guru, Sh. Torit Mitra felicitated by several institutions, like Mormochaya (Kolkata), Kolkata Book Fair, United Women’s Forum, All India Centre for Urban and Rural Development, Strot Tripura, Navapalli Natya Sanstha, Room Theatre, etc. Veteran actor, Sh. Dipankar Khan was felicitated by Bengal Association. Member artiste, Sreemoyee Dasgupta was invited to moderate theatre adda at 18th Delhi Book Fair by Bengal Association.

  • The Group initiated a unique project Hours 144 under Theatre of the Dark 2019 in studio Agon where 8 plays were performed in a span of 4 days, all directed, coordinated, managed and enacted by the students of the group.

  • The Group organized Theatre Festival Utsav Pratibha in collaboration with Bal Ashram (Virat Nagar) in 2019 producing four plays enacted by the children of the ashram. The event was graced by Bal Ashram's mentor and wife of Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Smt. Sumedha Kailash.

  • The group organized Talk Shows with Prof. Tripurari Sharma (Former Acting Director and Faculty NSD, SNA Awardee) and Sh. Prayag Shukla (Renowned Hindi Poet & Art Critic) in Studio Agon. It also organized Agon Dialogues with young art entrepreneurs Ashish Diyali, Sarthak Taneja and Nilanjan Guha.

  • The group has initiated extensive intimate space theatre practice in our studio space Studio Agon, organizing festivals of collaborative experimental plays namely Mimesis (21 solo plays performed by 21 artists) & Antareen (chamber theatre series of 8 micro-plays), in 2019.

  • Launched online digital experimental storytelling series, ’Kumbhok’- an artistic response to Covid 19 crisis, from June to September 2020.

  • Artsite members organized online Multidisciplinary art workshop and storytelling sessions for participants of different age group under NGMA summer art workshop, ‘Naimisa’ 2020 and 2021.

  • Acting director Anjon Bose, conducted online art lec dem workshop with CSMVS Mumbai, October 2021.

  • Acting Director Anjon Bose, was invited for TEA TIME THEATRE TALKS SESSION, with Shalaka Ranadive (Theatre and film practitioner, Singapore) 2021.

  • Group’s visual artists team worked on Digital story for Craft Museum and Hastkala Academy, New Delhi, based on ‘BHUTA’ –Craft Museum collection, 2021.

  • Artiste member, Sreemoyee Dasgupta, was invited as guest speaker at Online Betla Mahotsav 2021, on the topic of ‘Digital Media and Contemporary Art Practices’.

  • Initiated Black’o’rama, 2020-2021, multilingual, multidisciplinary art project including visual art exhibition, digital av books, reading theatre performances and e-publications. Inaugurated by Sh. Prayag Shukla and Dr. Vikram Chopra and concluded by Sh. Anand Moy Banerjee.

  • Several reviews, critical acclaims and interviews in electronic, print and digital media.

  • Group organized Street play performance ‘Unsung Heroines of India’s  Independence Movement’ on the occasion of World Women’s Day celebration at NGMA , 8th March 2022

  • The group branched out to Siddharth Nagar, UP, and celebrated World Theatre Day on 27th March 2022, simultaneously in Delhi, Studio Agon and in collaboration with Shubham Palace in Siddharth Nagar.
